Job Title:
Shipping & Receiving Worker
Position:
Shipping & Receiving Worker. Pay: $24.27 per hour.
- Vacation:
Accrual rate of 2 weeks beginning the first of the month following the hire date. - Holidays: 10 designated and 1 floating
- 401K: company match of 100% on employee's first 6% contribution
- Medical Plans: 2 options with one being a plan with a Health Savings account. Other plan offer a Healthcare Flex Spending Account.
- Dental and vision plans available.
- Life Insurance: company provided with option for employee to purchase additional for employee, partner, and dependents.
- 8 am to 4:30 pm, Monday-Friday.
- Operating mechanized equipment safely, efficiently, and within specifications.
- Load and Unload materials/finished goods with the use of powered industrial vehicles.
- Prepare shipping documentation and records. Ability to generate inbound/outbound shipping labels.
- Verify accuracy of shipping and receiving orders and records.
- Transfer products between cold storage and manufacturing facility.
- Enter and maintain accurate data in SAP.
- Assist in tracking any missing or delayed shipments.
- Identify and recommend opportunities for improvement.
- Maintain the work area in a clean and organized manner as directed.
- Continuous learning of other job duties and/or positions as required.
- Perform any other duties as required.
- Ability to work in potentially loud and in strong odorous environments, different physical environments, or in various weather conditions.
- Must be able to move about in the processing areas and be able to do the following: lift and carry up to 50 pounds, have at least 20/40 vision in both eyes with or without correction, stand and walk for sustained periods; climb stairs and ladders; bend; reach; push; pull, enter tanks, and wear harness.
Education and Experience
High school diploma or GED required.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications- Read, write and speak English.
- Work in a team environment with minimal supervision.
- Forklift experience, a plus or ability to get forklift certification, required.
- Strong communication skills to share information, data, and ideas with peers and leaders.
- Computer literate and SAP experience a plus.
- Able to develop and apply mechanical/problem solving skills, preferred.
- Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice and Food Safety, a plus.
