Instrument Assembly Technician III

Pay Rate: $21.18/hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

The Instrument Assembly Technician III performs a wide variety of production assembly operations, ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive tasks, on electronic and mechanical assemblies and subassemblies. This role supports the assembly, integration, testing, troubleshooting, and rework of complex instruments in a regulated manufacturing environment, while adhering to quality, safety, and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards.

• Build, integrate, and support the full assembly process for instruments in the production area

• Assemble multiple product lines, including integration of sub-assemblies into finished instruments

• Complete device history records, including serial numbers and tool tracking

• Perform basic component and module testing on assemblies and simple instruments

• Identify defects and recommend design or process improvements

• Read and interpret drawings, diagrams, work instructions, and workmanship standards

• Train and mentor associates on mechanical assembly and basic testing activities

• Execute basic test instructions, analyze results, and determine pass/fail outcomes

• Perform routine to moderately complex troubleshooting, repair, rework, and testing

• Interface with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Planning, and Purchasing teams as needed

• Perform standard material handling duties for raw materials and sub-assemblies

• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment through proper housekeeping

• Follow all GMP, safety, quality, and operating procedures

• Work overtime as required to meet business needs

• Perform other duties as assigned
