Instrument Assembly Technician III
Pay Rate: $21.18/hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
The Instrument Assembly Technician III performs a wide variety of production assembly operations, ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive tasks, on electronic and mechanical assemblies and subassemblies. This role supports the assembly, integration, testing, troubleshooting, and rework of complex instruments in a regulated manufacturing environment, while adhering to quality, safety, and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards.
Key ResponsibilitiesBuild, integrate, and support the full assembly process for instruments in the production area
Assemble multiple product lines, including integration of sub-assemblies into finished instruments
Complete device history records, including serial numbers and tool tracking
Perform basic component and module testing on assemblies and simple instruments
Identify defects and recommend design or process improvements
Read and interpret drawings, diagrams, work instructions, and workmanship standards
Train and mentor associates on mechanical assembly and basic testing activities
Execute basic test instructions, analyze results, and determine pass/fail outcomes
Perform routine to moderately complex troubleshooting, repair, rework, and testing
Interface with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Planning, and Purchasing teams as needed
Perform standard material handling duties for raw materials and sub-assemblies
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment through proper housekeeping
Follow all GMP, safety, quality, and operating procedures
Work overtime as required to meet business needs
Perform other duties as assigned
