Pay Rate: $23.00/hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday | Day Shift

Job Overview

The Instrument Test Technician I performs production assembly operations along with complete system analysis, testing, and performance optimization of instruments. This role is responsible for executing functional and release testing, troubleshooting basic electrical, mechanical, or software issues, and determining pass/fail outcomes based on defined performance criteria. The technician serves as a subject matter expert for instrument functional performance and escalates testing-related issues as needed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build, integrate, and understand the full assembly process and requirements for instruments in the production area

  • Perform functional and release testing on at least one moderately complex instrument

  • Analyze test data and results to determine pass/fail outcomes and implement solutions when failures occur

  • Optimize system performance, including precision of movement and/or light systems, using test data

  • Identify defects and recommend design or process improvements

  • Read and interpret drawings, work instructions, and workmanship standards

  • Provide training and guidance to associates on mechanical assembly and testing activities

  • Process and disposition Quality Notifications (QNs)

  • Ensure all production and testing activities comply with regulatory, safety, and quality standards

  • Interface with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Planning, and Purchasing teams as needed

  • Perform standard material handling for raw materials and sub-assemblies

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment through proper housekeeping

  • Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), safety policies, and operating procedures

  • Work overtime as required to meet business needs

  • Perform additional duties as assigned
