Senior Materials Planner
Our FDA-licensed, state-of-the-art CGMP manufacturing facility for Gene Therapies is located on the Harmans/BWI campus. The campus, featuring two manufacturing facilities is located 5 miles from the Baltimore Washington International (BWI) airport and 13 miles from our Baltimore location. The campus is close to Washington, DC's I-270 Technology Corridor, top universities, and government agencies. The Harmans/BWI-1 EMA and FDA approved facility, at approximately 200,000 sq.
ft., houses 10 CGMP manufacturing suites, fill/finish, central services, testing labs, and a warehouse. The Harmans/BWI-2 facility, at approximately 145,000 sq. ft., is under development and will house 8 CGMP manufacturing suites and cold storage warehousing. Both facilities support Phase 3 through commercial manufacturing of advanced therapeutic products including AAV and other viral vector-based therapies and vaccines.
We have an opportunity for a Senior Materials Planner to join our team. In this role, you will help ensure that materials are available and released by Quality at the right time, in the right location, and in the right quantity to support manufacturing activities. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to manage supply, maintain inventory targets, and implement planning best practices.
This position plays a key role in supporting pre-clinical through commercial manufacturing requirements while driving continuous improvement in material planning processes.
- Perform Material Requirement Planning (MRP) for multiple manufacturing and warehousing sites, clients, and products.
- Track and report material readiness daily to Ready to Execute and as requested by internal and external clients.
- Regularly review planning parameters impacting MRP such as safety stock, reorder point, and Kanban or Min/Max levels.
- Expedite and resolve supply issues with Buyers, Material Control, Manufacturing, and Quality Raw Materials.
- Drive maximum utilization of the ERP system (JDE) for all MRP functions and inventory control.
- Manage input of Work Orders, attachment of Bills of Material and Routings, and creation of Purchase Requisition s.
- Contribute to lifecycle management processes to optimize inventory, mitigate material expiration, and reduce scrap.
- Participate in continuous improvement projects.

The anticipated salary range for this position in MD is $100,000 - $118,000 Plus Bonus. The final salary offered to a successful candidate may vary, and will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to: the type and length of experience within the job, type and length of experience within the industry, skillset, education, business needs, etc.

Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain or a similar area.
- 5-6 years of material planning or directly related Supply Chain experience.
- Intermediate or advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
- Working with computer.
- Extended amount of time working at computer.
- In developing and implementing processes, procedures, and systems preferred.
- Lean or Six Sigma experience desirable.
- Supply Chain Certification such as CPIM is desirable.
- Proficiency with ERP or MRP systems.
- JDE desirable.
- Experience in cGMP environment, Pharma/Biotech/CMO highly desirable.
