This role carries primary leadership responsibility for Unashamed Youth Ministry and serves as the group lead for all affiliated youth ministries, ensuring unity of vision, theological alignment, and operational excellence across the youth landscape.

The Youth Pastor/Director will advance FBCG’s mission of developing dynamic disciples through discipleship, discipline, and duplication, providing spiritual oversight, pastoral care, and strategic leadership that equips youth to live boldly and faithfully—unashamed of the Gospel in every space they occupy.

RESPONSIBILITIES Youth Ministry Leadership & Oversight
  • Provide spiritual, strategic, and operational leadership for Unashamed Youth Ministry, FBCG’s flagship youth ministry.
  • Serve as group leader and supervisory leader for all youth-focused ministries, including but not limited to:
Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Star for Teen Girls, Gideon’s Army (Teen Boys), Alpha Youth, Unashamed Youth Bible Study.
  • Ensure alignment across all youth ministries with FBCG’s mission, discipleship framework, theological standards, and ministry values.
  • Support, coach, and collaborate with ministry leaders to promote consistency, excellence, and spiritual impact.
  • Cultivate a unified youth ministry culture that emphasizes bold faith, biblical literacy, leadership development, and evangelism.
Spiritual Formation & Pastoral Care
  • Build authentic, Christ-centered relationships with youth through mentorship, prayer, and pastoral guidance.
  • Teach and communicate the Word of God in ways that are biblically sound, culturally relevant, and engaging.
  • Provide biblical counsel and spiritual support to youth and, as appropriate, their families.
Program Development & Ministry Integration
  • Oversee youth ministry programming to ensure cohesion, purpose, and alignment across multiple ministry expressions.
  • Collaborate with Children & Youth Ministries leadership to ensure seamless discipleship progression across age groups.
  • Provide leadership support for churchwide initiatives including Harvest Fest, Children & Youth Ministries Day, and other signature events.
Digital, Social Media & Multimedia Engagement
  • Lead youth ministry communication through effective use of social media and digital platforms.
  • Collaborate with FBCG media and creative teams to produce multimedia content that reflects excellence and doctrinal integrity.
  • Recruit, train, and shepherd adult and youth volunteers serving across the youth ministry network.
  • Develop leadership pathways that empower both youth and adults to grow as disciple-makers.
Administration & Stewardship
  • Provide oversight of youth ministry budgets and resources with integrity and strategic foresight.
  • Prepare and submit monthly and annual reports summarizing ministry activity and outcomes.
QUALIFICATIONS Spiritual & Personal
  • A committed follower of Jesus Christ with a clear testimony of salvation and a demonstrated ability to share the Gospel.
  • A genuine calling and passion for youth ministry, discipleship, and evangelism.
  • Exhibits Christ‑like character, emotional maturity, and a servant’s heart.
  • Willingly submits to spiritual authority and supports the leadership and vision of FBCG.
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree required in Youth Ministry, Biblical Studies, Theology, Christian Education, or a related field.
  • Master’s degree (M.Div., M.A., or equivalent) strongly preferred, particularly for leadership within a church of FBCG’s size and influence.
