Travel RN - PACU

American Traveler is hiring a PACU RN for a 13-week day shift assignment requiring MD or compact RN license and 2+ years of PACU experience.

• Active RN license (Maryland or Compact)
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years of PACU experience required
• First-time travelers accepted with strong 3-5 years of PACU experience or 2 years of ICU experience

• PACU unit with 16 rooms/beds
• Day shift, 3x12 hours (07:30-20:00), 36 hours per week
• Patient ratio of 1:4
• Patient population ranges from pediatrics to geriatrics
• Diagnoses include orthopedic, neurology, cardiothoracic surgery, vascular surgery, general surgery, thoracic surgery, urology, and gynecology
• Every other weekend required (2 weekends per schedule cycle)
• Floating required within specialty, rotating with pre-op for this contract
• May also float to a sister facility as needed
• On-call not currently implemented for this unit
• Provide post-anesthesia nursing care across a wide range of surgical specialties
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Holiday coverage required as scheduled
