Travel RN - Med​/Surg Tele

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a night shift border role requiring 2 years of experience and an MD or compact RN license.

Requirements

• Active RN license (Maryland or Compact) required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• CPI certification required
• Minimum 2 years of relevant nursing experience required

Responsibilities

• Med/Surg Tele unit functioning as an ER border area within a fast-paced, high-volume hospital setting
• Provides care for a wide variety of complex ED admission diagnoses
• Average daily census of 10 to 40 border patients across 46 rooms
• Patient ratio of 1:6
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours from 19:30 to 08:00
• Every other weekend required
• Floating required between ED borders, extenders to MS/T, and IMC units within specialty and scope
• No pre-scheduled on-call shifts required
• Deliver nursing care across ED, MS/T, and IMC border patients within scope of practice
• Holiday coverage required as scheduled
• Royal blue scrub color required
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
