Work Schedule: Variable Shifts

Compensation: $19.87/hr

Typical duties include but are not limited to:

• Mowing, pressure washing, trimming, raking grass, picking up brush, and loading large wheel barrels
• Planting grass, flowers, trees, and shrubs
• Spreading bark, mulch, and related materials
• Active sprinkler system operation and water management for grass, trees, shrubs, and flowerbeds
• Pick up trash, debris, litter, including trash dumpsters, loading docks, and patios
• Operate weed eaters, chainsaws, and brush cutters
• Operate mower, weed trimmer, basic mechanical grounds equipment, and other equipment as necessary
• Assists in repair of roads, walks, buildings, and mechanical equipment
• Shovel, blow snow, plow snow, and remove snow and ice to maintain clear and safe sidewalks, roadways, parking areas, emergency exits, and fire hydrants; spread salt on roadways and walkways
• Clean and maintain ground equipment daily

Qualifications:

• Up to three (3) years of experience in grounds maintenance preferred
• Working knowledge of common hand and power tools

Physical Demands:

• Position duties require working outside in the weather; conditions may include rain, cold, and/or heat
• Work site location can include steep inclines, slopes, hills, and uneven ground surfaces
• Position may require working in high places such as scaffolding, ladders, and other elevated work

Requirements:

• Valid Driver’s license preferred; must be able to obtain and maintain approval to operate a vehicle by Tessera’s insurance carrier
• Must be able to obtain and maintain applicable security clearances and installation access

Access to a federal military installation: REAL
-compliant driver’s license or an acceptable alternative (e.g., U.S. passport or military ) is required
