Snowmaker role at Wisp Resort. This is a full-time seasonal, hourly (non-exempt) position reporting to the Snow making Supervisor and/or Snow making Manager.

Working Hours: Work begins early November through the end of March. Shifts are 12 hours and include day (7am–7pm) and night (7pm–7am) rotations. May require day, night, or evening hours, overtime, emergency call-outs, weekends and holidays as required. Hours determined by job requirements and experience.
Wage: $18.00 per hour with potential to earn incentives

Position SummarySnowmaker works as part of a team to open and maintain skiing terrain with snow that can be created. This is an outdoor role in cold and adverse conditions. Responsibilities include operating and rotating snow making guns, checking snow quality, and clearing snow around equipment. This is an entry-level position; as a supervisor, additional responsibilities include assisting the Snow making Manager in overseeing daily operations of the snow making department.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Work as part of the snow making team to open and maintain ski terrain with manufactured snow.
- Operate and maintain snow making equipment as trained; follow start-up and shut-down procedures.
- Rotate snow guns and monitor snow quality; clear snow from around equipment.
- Maintain safety barriers, padding, and guards around snow making equipment.
- Shovel snow and perform snow removal around equipment and resort areas as needed.
- Work SAFELY around heavy equipment, high voltage, and high water pressures.
- Relocate and set up portable snow making equipment; become familiar with resort facilities, locations, and hours of operation.
- Participate in training prior to starting job duties and view safety materials related to snow making operations.
- Perform other duties as assigned while awaiting optimum snow making weather.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Specialized in-house safety and equipment operation training.
