Quality Control Area Engineer - Civil

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Quality Control Area Engineer - Civil to join our team in the North East region of the United States. In this role, you will oversee and implement quality control processes for civil engineering projects, ensuring that all work meets the highest standards of quality and compliance with industry regulations.

• Develop, implement, and maintain quality control programs for civil engineering projects in the assigned area
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure adherence to quality standards, specifications, and safety regulations
• Analyze test results and inspection reports to identify potential quality issues and recommend corrective actions
• Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders to resolve quality-related concerns
• Prepare and maintain comprehensive quality control documentation and reports
• Train and mentor quality control team members on best practices and industry standards
• Stay up-to-date with local building codes and regulations in the North East region
• Participate in project planning meetings to provide input on quality control aspects
• Investigate and resolve non-conformance issues in a timely manner
• Continuously improve quality control processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality control within civil engineering projects
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
• Quality Control certifications (e.g., Certified Quality Engineer) are a plus
• Proficiency in quality control methodologies and techniques
• In-depth knowledge of civil engineering principles and practices
• Expertise in construction materials testing and interpretation of results
• Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
• Proficiency in project management software
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Outstanding communication and reporting abilities
• Experience in managing quality control teams

• Salary range is between $90k and $125k, dependent on scope of work, location, and experience
