Position Overview
The primary function of the Busser is supporting Servers by assisting in clearing & cleaning tables in a timely manner.

• Work as part of a team, communicating clearly and constructively.
• Primarily support Servers by:
  • Clearing tables of remaining dishes when guests complete their meal
  • Cleaning & sanitizing tables prior to new guests being seated
  • Ensuring all dishes used in the dining room are sparkling clean
  • Sweeping, mopping & in some instances vacuuming the dining room floors
  • Cleaning up spills & removing trash
  • Cleaning furniture, fixtures & walls in the dining room & service areas
  • Carrying dishes to the dish room
  • Scraping, sorting and stacking dirty dishes
  • Restocking clean dishes in the front of house
  • Stocking & refilling ice bins
  • Maintaining cleanliness & stocking of restrooms with hourly checks

• Be on time for work

• Handle dishes carefully to avoid breakage
• Adhere to cleaning/chemical solution guidelines

• Dining room is maintained clean & well stocked
• Tables are seated quickly
• Feedback from Servers, Managers and Guests

Prior experience is preferred but not required for this position.

The work area includes food, refrigeration, knives, toasters, syrup dispensers, plates/bowls, slippery floors, and, at times, high temperatures. It is a physically intense environment requiring stamina and the ability to tolerate heat, walk-in coolers, lift/maneuver boxes up to 50 pounds, and stand/walk on hard surfaces for 10-12 hours per day. Able to continuously reach, bend, lift, carry, stoop and wipe. Able to tolerate proper use of cleaning & sanitizing products.

Multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment. Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds.
