Bartender

Managers and OP/GM

The Bartender is responsible for providing Silver Diner hospitality to our guests, preparing beverage orders to company standards, fulfilling food orders, generating sales, and properly handling POS functions.

• Ensure each guest receives outstanding service, greeting every guest within 30 seconds.
• Ensure every order is delivered 100% correct and suggestively sell to every guest.
• Mix, garnish, and serve all drinks for bar and dining room guests according to standard recipes.
• Ring drink and food orders into POS immediately, collect payment, and make change.
• Arrange bottles and glasses to maintain an attractive display in agreement with standards.
• Wash and sterilize stemware.
• Count drinks served to guests; place current bar tabs in front of guests at all times.
• Perform responsible service of alcohol and maintain knowledge of all food & beverage specifications.
• Work as part of a team, communicating clearly and constructively.
• Be on time for work.
• Maintain a positive, fun-oriented attitude.
• Keep yourself, uniform, and station sparkling clean at all times; strictly follow all uniform standards.
• Know and ensure delivery of the Silver Diner brand.
• Properly account for all sales, handle cash correctly, and track any waste.
• Perform any additional duties or tasks reasonably assigned by managers.

• Maintain a positive, fun-oriented attitude.
• Keep yourself, uniform, and station sparkling clean at all times.
• Strictly follow all uniform standards.
• Knowledge of SMG scoring standards for Speed of Service & Accuracy of Order.
• Ensure delivery of the Silver Diner Brand.

• Positive sales growth in the bar.
• Guests are happy and there are no complaints.
• Zero cash handling errors.

Must possess a state applicable alcohol compliance certification.

Minimum 1–2 years experience as a Bartender.

• Exceptional aptitude for Guest Service.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Contagiously friendly, outgoing & energetic.
• Organized.
• Sense of urgency.
• Ability to multi-task.
• Ability to think & act quickly while maintaining self-composure.
• Ability to meet all schedule requirements.

The work area includes food, refrigeration, knives, toasters, syrup dispensers, plates/bowls, slippery floors, and, at times, high temperatures. It is a physically intense environment requiring stamina and the ability to tolerate heat, walk-in coolers, lift/maneuver boxes weighing up to 35 pounds, and stand/walk on hard surfaces for 10–12 hours per day. Answerable to continuously reach, bend, lift, carry, stoop and wipe.

Must be of legal age to serve alcoholic beverages according to applicable state law.

• Full time bartenders make up to $800+ per week in tips.
