We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Deli Manager to oversee the daily operations of our deli department. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership capabilities, a commitment to quality, and the ability to maintain efficient and compliant food service operations in a fast‑paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Direct and supervise all deli department operations to ensure exceptional product quality, service standards, and operational efficiency.
- Manage the full ordering and inventory process, ensuring appropriate stock levels and minimizing waste.
- Lead the development, planning, and execution of deli menu offerings, including seasonal and specialty items.
- Recruit, train, mentor, and evaluate deli staff to maintain a high‑performing, cohesive team.
- Create and manage staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage and smooth department workflow.
- Enforce all health, safety, and food handling regulations in compliance with local, state, and federal guidelines.
- Maintain proper sanitation, organization, and equipment upkeep across the deli department.
- Address customer inquiries and concerns with professionalism to support a positive customer experience.
- Demonstrated experience in deli management, food service supervision, or related leadership roles.
- Strong working knowledge of food safety standards and best practices.
- Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team.
- Excellent organizational, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while upholding high standards of quality and service.
- Proficiency in inventory management and basic point‑of‑sale systems.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs as needed.
- Capability to work safely with deli equipment, including slicers and knives.
Hourly Rate: $24–$28, based on experience and qualifications.
Schedule:
Full‑time; availability for mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
