Role Description

This full‑time, on‑site Sous Chef role is based in Phoenix, Maryland. The Sous Chef will assist the Executive Chef in all aspects of kitchen operations, including food preparation, supervision of kitchen staff, and ensuring high‑quality culinary standards. Responsibilities include maintaining cleanliness, inventory control, food safety, and preparing menus in collaboration with the culinary team. The Sous Chef will focus on delivering exceptional dining experiences to club members and guests by supporting efficient kitchen operations and mentoring team members.

Qualifications
  • Proficiency in Culinary Skills such as food preparation, cooking techniques, and presentation.
  • Experience in Team Leadership and Staff Supervision, including mentoring and managing kitchen staff.
  • Strong Knowledge of Food Safety and Sanitation standards and inventory management practices.
  • Menu Planning and Creativity in developing and refining recipes.
  • Excellent Organizational and Time Management skills to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment and adhere to high culinary standards.
  • Previous experience in a similar role or formal culinary training is preferred.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required in a hospitality‑focused environment.
