Position Title: Retail Sales Specialist and Supervisor Level 1

Reports To: Retail Sales Manager
Status: Part-time or Full-time Seasonal/Year Round, Hourly (Non-Exempt)
Working Hours: Varied hours/shifts, fluctuates with time of season, weekends and holidays typical
Wage: $17.00 per hour

Position SummaryAs a specialist, the employee works in multiple retail locations throughout the resort property generating sales. The specialist handles money transactions, assists guests in locating items, and maintains store presentation. In a supervisory capacity, the employee supports the Retail Sales Manager and other specialists, coordinates staff scheduling, and participates in staff meetings to deliver an exceptional retail experience for guests and employees.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Attend sales training programs and activities as required.
- Exhibit strong interpersonal skills and the ability to persuade customers.
- Strategize to meet assigned sales targets within a given time period.
- Maintain a neat and tidy store while completing tasks assigned by the Retail Manager.
- Track stock and inventory; place orders to replenish stock.
- Ensure good display of goods in compliance with quality standards.
- Evaluate market trends and monitor new products and pricing.
- Open and close the cash register; perform cash counts, balance drawers, and make deposits.
- Assist with administrative duties, including shipping, receiving, unpacking, processing, organizing, and storing merchandise.
- Watch for and recognize security risks and theft, and respond appropriately.
- Communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
- Work well in a team, plan and organize multiple projects simultaneously under strict deadlines.
- Navigate MS Windows, MS Office (Excel, Word), the internet, and POS systems with proficiency.
- High School diploma or equivalent (company may consider qualified candidates without this education).
- Previous retail sales experience is helpful.
- Basic English proficiency.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic math and analytical proficiency.
- None of the listed certifications, licenses, or registrations are required.
Standing, reaching, lifting, bending, kneeling, stooping, climbing, pushing, and pulling items weighing 25 pounds or less. Manual dexterity, auditory and visual demands.
Work Environment/ConditionsGeneral resort atmosphere with varied elements. Duties may be mentally demanding or stressful during peak season. Seasonal outdoor conditions, including winter weather, may apply.
