Full Time Customer Service Clerk – Harris Teeter

This full‑time position focuses on providing excellent customer service to shoppers by operating the cash register efficiently, providing a range of services at the customer service counter, and ensuring security and proper handling of funds.

• Operate the cash register accurately and efficiently.
• Provide additional services at the customer service counter.
• Maintain security and control of all funds in the cash register.
• Perform floor monitor duties when not on duty as a cashier, and undertake the duties of cashier and bagger as required.

  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; willingness to complete required training and collaborate with teammates to improve customer satisfaction and sales.

  Ability to read, comprehend, and write simple instructions and correspondence in English and present information clearly to customers and colleagues.
• Mathematical Skills
  :
  Add and subtract two‑digit numbers, calculate discount percentages, and perform related arithmetic in U.S. currency.
• Reasoning Ability
  :
  Apply common‑sense understanding to follow detailed written or oral instructions and solve basic problems in standardized settings.
• Certifications / Training
  :
  Complete company training, including new‑hire orientation, customer‑service network, safety, and technical skills for customer‑service clerk and floor monitor.
• Minimum age 16 years.

• Stand, walk, and use hands, arms, and fingers regularly; lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, occasionally up to 40 pounds.
• Reach hands 6–48 inches (up to 72 inches for heavier lifts).
• Occasionally climb, balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch.
• Speak comfortably, hear, and smell; cope with varying noise levels.

• Occasional exposure to wet, humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, chemicals, and extreme cold.
• Noise level usually moderate.

Base pay range: $15.45/hr – $15.45/hr pay may increase with experience up to $22.50/hr.
