Job Overview

As a Field Merchandiser, you'll work independently to showcase your organization and time management skills, establish retailer relationships, and be the face of Hallmark. You will collaborate with local store teams to optimize product placement, maintain inventory levels, and support fellow team members with seasonal resets and installations when needed. Occasionally you may work with other products from other companies in the stores you service.

  • Your starting hourly pay rate will be $15.50 - $17.50 depending on your skills and experience.
  • Eligible employees receive annual pay increases.
  • This is a part‑time position with a variable schedule during the work week.
  • Average weekly hours are between 11–14 hours per week.
  • Availability the week before and after major holidays, which may include weekends, is required.
Your Role and Responsibilities
  • Day‑to‑day engagement:
    Using a mobile device provided by Hallmark, restock, organize, and monitor Hallmark inventory within and outside the Hallmark department. Use technology for daily work, communicate with supervisors, report time, provide feedback, and answer required surveys. Professionally interact with store employees, management, and customers. Manage the entire Hallmark product display at assigned stores.
  • Holiday support:
    Provide additional days and extended hours during the work week for holidays such as Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. May be required to work on the holiday itself, including weekends.
  • Department resets:
    Assist with installations and tasks such as building and installing Hallmark fixtures, relocating card departments and products, and resetting card sections. Typically notified two weeks in advance for remodel assignments; may involve evenings or weekends.
  • Team collaboration:
    Support other merchandisers as needed in their territories.
Physical Requirements

This is a physically demanding job requiring high energy. You will work on the selling floor and in back stockrooms, consistently pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying cartons, merchandise, and display fixtures up to 30 pounds throughout the workday and up to 50 pounds on occasion. You may kneel, squat, walk, stand, climb stairs, and use step ladders.

Basic Qualifications
  • Age 18 or older.
  • Read, write, and understand English.
  • Capable of lifting 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Operate a digital hand‑held device to read and interpret documents.
  • Have Wi‑Fi and internet access.
  • Have reliable transportation to travel to assigned stores as scheduled.
