Retail Sales Consultant

Location: 29 E Padonia Rd, Timonium, MD 21093
Schedule: Full-Time | 40 Hours | Day Shifts | Weekday and Weekend Availability | No Late Nights

Batteries Plus is a locally owned specialty retail and service business with six locations across South Central Pennsylvania and Northern Maryland. We help customers solve everyday power, automotive, and technology needs through batteries, vehicle services, key programming, device repair, lighting, and more.

We're looking for a dependable professional with a customer service or sales background who wants to build new skills, increase earning potential, and grow into something more.

At Batteries Plus, sales is built on solutions, expertise, and trust - not pressure or gimmicks. Customers come to us with real needs, and our team earns their business by asking the right questions and recommending the right solution.

You do not need prior experience with batteries, automotive keys, or device repair. Bring a strong customer service or sales foundation and a desire to learn, and we'll provide the training.

• Base Pay: $15.50–$16.50 per hour
• Weekend Premium: +$5.00 per hour for weekend hours worked
• Expected Total Earnings: $20.00–$23.50 per hour including performance incentives
• Uncapped Commission: Strong performers can earn above the expected range
• 90-Day Training Guarantee: Base-level commissions are guaranteed during your first 90 days while you complete training

• Consultative Sales: Engage customers, understand their needs, and recommend products and services that provide the right solution.
• Product & Service Expertise: Learn our specialty solutions across batteries, automotive, key programming, lighting, device repair, and other technical categories.
• Customer & Business Opportunities: Own the customer experience from greeting through checkout while identifying opportunities to connect business customers with our Commercial Sales team.
• Store Responsibility: Support inventory, merchandising, daily store execution, and opening/closing keyholder responsibilities while contributing to team sales goals.

  Experience:
  
  At least 1 year of sales or customer service experience
  , with confidence working directly with customers and solving problems.

Experience in wireless, electronics, automotive, specialty retail, hospitality, or another customer‑focused environment can be helpful, but is not required

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 18 years of age or older
• Valid driver's license
• Full‑time availability including weekday and weekend shifts
• Strong verbal communication and basic math skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
