Associate Asset Protection - Security

Asset Protection Associates are responsible for protecting company retail store assets by investigating loss of assets including merchandise, money and property. This role prevents loss and shrink within assigned stores through monitoring, investigating, surveillance and other loss prevention tactics, including apprehending shoplifters.

• Detect and resolve internal and external theft incidents.
• Serve as primary contact for safety and security issues in assigned stores/area.
• Tour stores daily to identify deficiencies and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain awareness of high-risk areas to reduce merchandise losses.
• Review shrink best practices and help drive shrink-reduction strategy during store visits; check rotation, backroom organization, and other areas as assigned by supervision.
• Review shrink reports and assist in addressing issues and opportunities observed in assigned stores.

• Assist in implementing and communicating safety and security training and company policies.
• Maintain a store environment safe from theft and provide a secure shopping destination.
• Ensure stores are secure for Associate safety from theft, both internal and external.

• High School Diploma
• Driver's license and transportation required — travel across multiple stores in a district/region
• Up to 1 year of related experience
• Knowledge of criminal laws applicable to state and local jurisdictions
• Maintain strict confidentiality of investigation-related information
• Basic MS Office skills
