Equipment Service Technician

Overview

Field Service Technician (Equipment) at Chesapeake Automotive Equipment. We are a leading provider of automotive equipment, serving body shops, service centers, heavy-duty repair facilities, and dealership groups. We supply and service lifts, compressors, and advanced repair tools that keep the automotive industry running smoothly.

We are seeking a Field Service Technician to install, maintain, and repair automotive equipment. This role involves working directly with clients to ensure their shops are equipped with safe, fully operational machinery.

• Install automotive equipment such as lifts, compressors, and repair tools
• Perform maintenance and service tasks to ensure safe and efficient operation
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues
• Conduct on-site assessments for installation and repair needs
• Work independently on service calls and installations while maintaining professional communication with customers
• Keep detailed records of work performed, parts used, and maintenance recommendations
• Follow all safety regulations and company procedures
• Manage tools, equipment, and inventory for daily service operations

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED required; technical certifications a plus)
• 4-7 years of experience installing and servicing automotive equipment, including lifts and compressors
• Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills
• Experience working in automotive shop environments
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and customer service skills
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Physical ability to lift and move up to 75 lbs and work in various conditions

• Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour (based on experience)
