Bayside Kubota of Upper Marlboro has an immediate opening for a Service Technician. We are growing and expanding, and we are looking for dedicated individuals who are ready to join our team. This role involves heavy-duty repairs to maintenance/repairs on lawn equipment. Pay is based on experience and ability.

- Diagnose, repair, recondition, service, and assemble equipment as assigned by the Shop Foreman
- Repair equipment, including but not limited to, tractors of all sizes, small engines, lawn mowers, ATVs, construction and farm equipment
- Maintain accurate and easy-to-read records of work performed
- Report any work shortages and malfunctions of shop equipment to the Service Manager
- Completely disassemble and inspect equipment quickly to ensure parts may be ordered promptly and machine work can be properly quoted and scheduled
- Recommend any additional necessary repairs to the Service Manager and/or Customer
- Keep shop vehicles clean and properly serviced; report any problems with vehicles to the Service Manager
- Stay up to date with technical changes and participate in continuing education with factory service schools
- Pay special attention to repeat repairs or comebacks to correct problems and avoid future dealership expenses
- Fabricate and weld metal parts as needed
- Make service calls as assigned by the Service Manager
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred but not required
- Must have a valid driver’s license with a good record
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- A self-motivator with strong attention to detail
- The candidate(s) must have their own appropriate level of tools required for most service work
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts; work at heights; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals and outdoor weather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

This is a full-time position and hours of work and days must be flexible to include some evening or weekend hours.
