Overview
Electronics Technician 4 – Laurel, MD
Join M.C. Dean, Inc. in powering, automating, integrating, and securing critical infrastructure and facilities. Be part of a team that designs, engineers, integrates, operates and maintains electronic security services including intrusion detection, access control, biometric authentication, video surveillance, audio-visual, IT systems, perimeter defense and command and control systems for federal, local and commercial customers.
Responsibilities- Installing and maintaining electronic security systems and performing preventive maintenance requirements.
- Performing inspections, evaluations, and inventory related to projects.
- Leading teams on large, complex installation projects with limited supervision.
- Leading and documenting daily toolbox talks, ORMs and safety audits.
- Installing and maintaining equipment at local and global levels per design packages.
- Programming and installation of head-end equipment for Access Control, Intrusion Detection and CCTV systems.
- Troubleshooting and isolating systems/hardware at local and global levels.
- Leading on-site software commissioning and testing.
- Documenting project progress, RFIs, and daily reports; communicating issues to management.
- Design assist and provide feedback; create and manage project schedules; integrate IDS, ACS and CCTV systems.
- Forecast and manage project labor hours; mentor technicians; collaborate with supervisors and subordinates.
Clearance/Citizen
:
Applicants must be eligible for a government security investigation; ACTIVE TS/SCI w/ POLY is REQUIRED.
Key Requirements
- Valid driver's license; may require use of a company vehicle.
- Acceptable driving record per policy.
- HS diploma or GED;
Military Electronics Training (minimum 720 classroom hours) or - Graduation from an accredited Electronics Technician program or
- Graduation from an Electrical Apprenticeship program
- Additional three (3) years of electronics installation and/or maintenance activities
- 8+ years in electronics installation and/or maintenance on multiple systems and customer programs
- 3 years of the above in electronic security systems
- Strong oral, written and presentation skills; experience with multidisciplinary teams
- Time management and organizational skills; proficiency with MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint is a plus
- Travel up to 50%
- Vendor certifications in multiple IDS, ACS, and CCTV systems (CCURE, Lenel, Identiv/Hirsch Velocity, Bosch, etc.).
