Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Laboratory Technician

Location:

Baltimore, MD. We offer paid training, certification fees covered, and no prior experience needed.

Base pay range: $18.00/hr - $19.00/hr.

• Perform laboratory testing on construction materials under supervisory guidance.
• Conduct routine laboratory tests for soils and concrete, maintain laboratory equipment, keep the lab organized and clean following QA/QC and accreditation standards.
• Perform calculations and data reduction, document results accurately; may assist with administrative duties.

• Support in enhancing professional skills.
• Encourage participation in internal and external training programs and certification opportunities provided by ASTM or other organizations.

• No experience required.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Willingness to obtain and maintain laboratory certifications for concrete or soils (both if working in both labs).
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
• Valid driver's license and insurance.
• Willingness to gain knowledge of CMT laboratory equipment, testing methods, and ASTM standards, leading to certifications.
• Strong communication skills (speaking, reading, writing).
• Ability to work effectively with peers and supervisors.
