Project ScopeThis role supports the stand‑up of a central office for a major airport project, currently underway. The project involves carrier site builds, tower work, DAS (Distributed Antenna Systems), and radio installations. Technicians may also be cross‑utilized on other carrier‑based projects as needed.
Position SummaryThe company is seeking one DAS/CO Install Technician with at least 2+ years of experience in the wireless communications field. The technician will work in teams of 3‑4, typically composed of one lead technician and 2‑3 support technicians.
Responsibilities- Install low‑voltage coaxial cables
- Perform rack and stack installations
- Dress and label cables and equipment
- Assist with fiber optic tasks such as pulling, terminating, testing, and splicing (preferred but not required)
- Work with " coaxial cable and OEM equipment from vendors such as Corning, Commscope, SOLiD, ADRF, and others
- Minimum 2 years of experience in cable installation (Coax, Fiber, low voltage)
- Experience with ISP/Network cable construction, including:
- Rack and stack
- Cable terminations
- Testing of coaxial and fiber optic cables
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn and grow
- Client‑facing communication skills and a team‑oriented mindset
- Preferred but not required:
Experience with PIM and sweep testing.
- Problem‑solving abilities
- Effective communication skills
- Adaptability and eagerness to upskill
- Full‑time, Monday through Friday
- Current shift: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
- Two‑ to three‑person crews
- Must be comfortable working on ladders and in commercial, hospital, government, and public safety environments
- Work is based at a single site (airport central office)
This is a Contract position based out of Timonium, MD.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $23.00 - $28.00/hr.
