School based Social Worker

• Assess student needs related to emotional, behavioural, social, or family issues impacting school performance.
• Provide individual and group counselling to support students' mental health and social development.
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to develop intervention strategies and support plans.
• Connect families with community resources such as mental health services, housing assistance, or food support.
• Develop and implement behaviour intervention plans (BIPs) for students with behavioural challenges.
• Advocate for students' rights and access to services, particularly those with disabilities or in crisis.
• Participate in multidisciplinary teams, including IEP and 504 Plan meetings.
• Provide crisis intervention and support during emergencies, trauma, or incidents of abuse or neglect.

• Master’s degree in social work from an accredited institution.
• Minimum one year of experience working with children. New graduates are welcome to apply!
• Psych experience is a plus.

• Flexible schedule.
• 15‑20 hours per week.
