Software Engineer

Location: Columbia MD

Clearance Required: Active Secret or higher

We are seeking a skilled Software Engineer to join our team supporting critical Department of Defense (DoD) programs. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of professional experience developing in C++, with additional experience in Java and Linux environments preferred. This role requires an active Secret clearance or higher and offers the opportunity to work on challenging, mission-critical software solutions in a collaborative environment.

• Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications in C++ to meet system requirements and performance objectives.
• Contribute to software architecture, design reviews, and code reviews to ensure quality and maintainability.
• Support software integration, debugging, and testing in Linux-based environments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and refine software requirements.
• Document software designs, technical specifications, and user guides.
• Analyze and resolve software issues, implementing enhancements as needed.
• Ensure software solutions are compliant with applicable DoD standards and security guidelines.

• Active Secret clearance or higher.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• At least 2 years of experience developing software in C++.
• Experience with the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and version control tools.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment.

• Experience developing software in Java.
• Proficiency working in Linux/Unix environments.
• Familiarity with DoD software development processes, secure coding practices, and classified environments.
• Knowledge of real-time or embedded systems development is a plus.

• Primarily on-site in a secure facility.
• May involve occasional overtime or extended hours to meet project deadlines.
