Our work depends on you, as Senior Software Developer, joining the Navy and Marine Corps Sector to lead a multi-disciplinary team of highly skilled individuals to support development, design, prototyping, low-rate production, demonstration, test, integration, technical installation, transition through Initial Operational Capability (IOC), and maintenance in the domains of cyber, Maritime Domain Awareness (MDA), situational awareness, data management and dissemination, and other rapid capability software requirements with the ASI Division in support of Department of Navy (DON), Department of Defense (DoD), and other Government agency projects.

As a Senior Software Developer, you will execute software planning, requirements, risk management, design, development, architecture, modeling, estimation, configuration management, quality, security, and tests using software development methodologies, architectural structures, viewpoints, styles, design decisions, and frameworks across all lifecycle phases. You will research, design, and develop computer and network software or specialized utility programs. Analyze user needs and develop software solutions, applying principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis.

Update software or enhance existing software capabilities. You may work with computer hardware engineers to integrate hardware and software systems and develop specifications and performance requirements. You may maintain databases within an application area, working individually or coordinating database development as part of a team. In this role, a typical day may include:

  • Perform all phases of the software development lifecycle
  • Analyze user/business needs and functionality to plan and design software systems to meet those needs
  • Create a variety of models and diagrams that show programmers the software code needed for an application
  • Perform software updates, refinement, testing, and debugging to meet business needs
  • Provide analysis for reports on software project specifications, activities, or status
  • Advise on the software or system for optimal documentation and future maintenance and updates
  • May act as a consultant across multiple programs, contracts, and business development efforts
  • May coach and provide guidance to less-experienced professionals
  • May serve as a team or task lead

Must have an active DOD Top Secret Security Clearance

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
  • Possess and maintain a DoD Top Secret clearance with ability to obtain Specialized Compartmented Information (SCI) access which will be required by the contractor in the performance of their work to enter classified spaces, review data and access networks
  • Ability to obtain a Department of Defense Common Access Card
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively both written and orally
  • Travel 10–25%
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Ten (10) years or more experience in Software Development
  • Five (5) years working with DOD Software
  • Master’s Degree in a Technical Discipline
