The Role Join Peraton as a Cloud Software Engineer - Cyber Missions Team (Annapolis Junction, MD) Are you ready to make an impact in national security and work on mission-critical projects that matter? Peraton is looking for a Cloud Software Engineer to join our high-performing Cyber Missions team in Annapolis Junction, MD. In this role, you'll be at the forefront of innovation, driving the development and integration of advanced cloud-based solutions that support vital defense and intelligence operations.

You'll collaborate with top-tier engineers and mission experts to solve complex challenges using cutting-edge technologies. What You'll Do:
* Design, develop, and deploy scalable cloud-native applications and services.

* Conduct software research, development, and engineering in dynamic mission environments.

* Analyze system requirements and translate them into robust technical solutions.

* Support the full software development lifecycle-from concept through integration, testing, and sustainment.

* Troubleshoot and resolve complex system issues, ensuring high availability and performance in cloud environments.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

* Active TS/SCI clearance with a current polygraph is required.

* 8+ years of hands-on experience in software development, including requirements analysis, design, integration, testing, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

* 4+ years developing in high-level languages such as Java, C, or C++.

* 3+ years in software integration and unit testing, including test plan and script development.

* 3+ years developing software on UNIX/Linux (Red Hat 3-5).

* Bachelor's in Computer Science or a related technical field (e.g., Math, Information Systems, Engineering) is required

* A Master's degree may substitute for 2 years of experience.

* One of the following certifications is required prior to starting:

* AWS Solutions Architect - Associate

* AWS Developer - Associate

* AWS Dev Ops Engineer - Professional Desired Qualifications
* Strong expertise in AWS SDKs, APIs, and cloud architecture design.

* Experience with the AWS Well-Architected Framework and serverless deployments.

* Hands-on with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Cloud Formation or Terraform.

* Skilled in CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.

* Proficient with Git Lab for version control.

* Familiarity with AWS Cost Management tools like Pricing Calculator and Cost Explorer.

* Experience using Cloud Watch, Cloud Trail, and other AWS monitoring services.
