** Role Summary
** This Lead Software Engineer will focus on a key growth initiative enhancing our Individual Investor (II) services. The primary focus will be the development of a modern, scalable platform that streamlines product distribution, improves user experience, digitizes manual processes, and elevates brokerage services. This strategic effort is foundational for advancing retail brokerage and advice offerings, as well as supporting new partnership opportunities.

You’ll be hands-on coding through the entire development lifecycle as well as leading an Agile team of Software Engineers.  In this role, you will foster innovation as you build applications to provide business value solutions for our clients.  You will be part of a collaborative team of curious and enthusiastic engineers who bring different perspectives to our projects working with AWS, Java, and Microservice technology.

* * We are seeking an experienced Lead Software Engineer with 8+ years of Java and AWS experience including microservice development and familiarity working with cloud-based applications. You will also:

* Required:

** - Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience AND 8+ years of total relevant work experience
- Significant experience in AWS cloud technologies including databases, caching, and messaging
- Significant experience using Spring Boot
- Able to work with existing data models and schemas and suggest changes and improvements
- Experience using UNIX, scripting, and Git Lab
- Have written Unit tests and has familiarity with a variety of testing frameworks experience in the

This role is eligible for hybrid work, with up to three days per week from home Placement within the range provided above is based on the individual’s relevant experience and skills for the role.  Base salary is only one component of our total compensation package.  Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, which is determined upon company and individual performance.
