The Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach will assist the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach with general oversight of the Strength and Conditioning Program for the university's 25 NCAA Division I sports. Team assignments based on experience and facility scheduling. Hiring Requirements
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:- Develops strength and conditioning programs for male and female student-athletes with review from the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach.
- Maintain knowledge of best practices to ensure the health, safety, and welfare of student-athletes.
- Supervises and coordinates strength and conditioning programs for men's and women's sports as required.
- Implementation and reporting of sports science technology and software.
- Oversees strength and conditioning programs which elicit safe and correct execution of exercise technique.
- Effectively communicates with athletic trainers and coaches.
- Willingness and ability to work a non-traditional schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays as required.
- Responsible for adhering to all department and University policies and procedures and the rules, regulations, bylaws and interpretations of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference and the NCAA.
- Responsible for adhering to all Department and University continuing education initiatives and required certifications and trainings.
- Other duties as assigned by the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach
Education,
Experience and Skills:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science or related field
- Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength & Conditioning Association (NSCA) or Strength & Conditioning Coach
- Certified (SCCC) through the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association (CSCCA)
- CPR/AED Certification
- Excellent communication skills (verbally and written)
- Selected candidate must be able to start by March 9th, 2026
Preferred Qualifications:
- Masters Degree
- 2+ Years of relevant work experience
$45,000-$47,000/year
(Actual compensation will be commensurate with experience, education, and qualifications).
