Ryder has just opened a new state‑of‑the‑art warehouse in Port Deposit, MD and is immediately hiring Permanent Full‑time Cherry Picker Material Handlers. This position is a Regular – Full Time (Permanent) role.
Salary & Schedule- Hourly Pay: $21.50 per hour for day shift
- Additional Pay: $1.00 per hour when working night shift
- Schedules:
Wednesday‑Saturday 12‑hour day or night shifts, with a half day on Wednesday - Pay Frequency:
Weekly

- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- One (1) year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred
- Valid Forklift Operator’s License certified
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
- Ability to work within a diverse work environment and be a team player
- Highly thorough, dependable, punctual, and with a good attendance record
- High initiative and a strong sense of accuracy, even under pressure
- Ability to lift or move up to 35 lbs; stand for long periods; follow health and safety methods
- Availability to work a flexible schedule on various shifts
- Detail oriented with excellent follow‑up practices
Some positions require additional screening that may include employment and education verification, motor vehicle records checks, a road test, and/or specific background requirements of the customer to which you are assigned.
Responsibilities- Perform warehouse functions, including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.
- Maintain accurate picking and packing, auditing, tote induction, staging of products, and loading/unloading of trucks.
- Handle day‑to‑day paperwork such as picking sheets, returns, bills of lading, etc.
- Provide technical and maintenance support for automated packing systems during core shift hours.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
