Ryder has just opened a new state‑of‑the‑art warehouse in Port Deposit, MD and is immediately hiring Permanent Full‑time Cherry Picker Material Handlers. This position is a Regular – Full Time (Permanent) role.

• Hourly Pay: $21.50 per hour for day shift
• Additional Pay: $1.00 per hour when working night shift
• Schedules:
  Wednesday‑Saturday 12‑hour day or night shifts, with a half day on Wednesday

  Weekly

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• One (1) year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred
• Valid Forklift Operator’s License certified
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
• Ability to work within a diverse work environment and be a team player
• Highly thorough, dependable, punctual, and with a good attendance record
• High initiative and a strong sense of accuracy, even under pressure
• Ability to lift or move up to 35 lbs; stand for long periods; follow health and safety methods
• Availability to work a flexible schedule on various shifts
• Detail oriented with excellent follow‑up practices

Some positions require additional screening that may include employment and education verification, motor vehicle records checks, a road test, and/or specific background requirements of the customer to which you are assigned.

• Perform warehouse functions, including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.
• Maintain accurate picking and packing, auditing, tote induction, staging of products, and loading/unloading of trucks.
• Handle day‑to‑day paperwork such as picking sheets, returns, bills of lading, etc.
• Provide technical and maintenance support for automated packing systems during core shift hours.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
