Ryder has opened a brand‑new state‑of‑the‑art warehouse in Port Deposit, MD and is immediately hiring permanent full‑time Cherry Picker Material Handlers.
Pay & Schedule- Hourly Pay: $21.50 per hour for day shift
- Additional Pay: $1.00 per hour when working night shift
- Schedules:
Wed‑Sat 12‑hr Day OR Night shifts with half day on Wed
- Weekly pay
- On‑the‑job paid training

- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- 1+ year related warehouse or powered industrial truck experience preferred
- Valid Forklift Operator's License
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as a team member in a diverse environment
- Highly thorough, dependable, punctual with good attendance
- Performs work independently with minimal supervision and high initiative
- High accuracy even under pressure
- Ability to lift/push/pull up to 35 lbs, stand for long periods, work health & safety methods
- Flexible to work various shifts
- Detail oriented with excellent follow‑up practices
Some positions require additional screening that may include employment and education verification, motor vehicle records check, and/or background checks.
Responsibilities- Perform warehouse functions: loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.
- Work within performance measurement guidelines of the contract.
- Ensure accurate picking, packing, auditing, tote induction, staging of products, and loading/unloading of trucks.
- Handle day‑to‑day paperwork (picking sheets, returns, bills of lading, etc.).
- Provide technical and maintenance support for automated packing systems during core shift hour.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
