Honda Development & Manufacturing of America is seeking an Equipment Specification Senior Engineer in Marysville, OH. In this role, you will define machine design criteria, leverage 3D simulation tools, and establish equipment procurement specifications for new vehicle model launches.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead development of optimal machinery concepts and automated equipment specifications for new vehicle programs.
- Serve as Subject Matter Expert (SME) and functional Project Leader for major capital equipment installations.
- Conduct detailed process feasibility studies of new vehicle parts using 3D CAD simulation tools.
- Author formal Equipment Specification and Scope of Work documentation for machine tool vendors.
- Verify machine installation, integration, and runoff buyoffs on-site at Honda facilities and builder shops.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of experience in automated machinery design, equipment specification, or manufacturing engineering.
- Deep expertise in 3D CAD modeling, automated systems, and industrial process simulation.
- Superior technical writing and cross-functional communication abilities.
- US work authorization without employer sponsorship required.
