We are looking for an OB Technician to join our collaborative team at Memorial Health!

• Set up vaginal delivery tables and prepare supplies, instruments, and equipment for deliveries and surgical procedures.
• Open sterile supplies, set up the operating room (OR) for cesarean sections, and perform scrub duties.
• Label and prepare specimens for pathology.
• Support licensed nurses by assuming responsibility for direct and indirect patient care, including assisting with activities of daily living, personal care, comfort measures, and maintaining a safe and clean environment.
• Collect patient data such as vital signs, weights, input and output, and pain scores; identify and report significant findings to the licensed nurse.
• Document findings and care within established time frames.
• Assist patients with transportation requests and monitor overall appearance of lobbies and entrances.
• Provide patient guidance regarding registration processes and hospital procedures.
• Communicate professionally and appropriately at all times with staff, patients, and visitors, and maintain accurate employee records.
• Serve as a liaison between patients, staff, and other departments, demonstrating proactive, solution‑focused teamwork and customer service excellence.
• Offer wheelchair assistance as needed and respond to inquiries directed to appropriate authority.
• Respond to emergencies outside normal working hours, including internal and external disasters.
• Work rotating shifts, including weekend and holiday shifts, as scheduled or assigned.

• Completion of high school education supplemented with coursework or experience evidencing basic patient‑care knowledge.
• Strong clinical knowledge of the OR environment.
• Preferred experience:
  
  Surgical Technician, OB Technician, Medical Assistant, or STNA.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association required within 30 days of hire and must be maintained continuously.
• Behavioral Health & De‑Escalation Training (BHDT) required within six (6) months of employment and must be renewed annually.
• Surgical Technologist certification preferred.
