Payroll Support Specialist; Payroll Assistant II

American Honda Motor Co., Inc. is seeking a Payroll Support Specialist (Payroll Assistant II) in Marysville, OH. In this role, you will act as the frontline payroll contact, resolving Tier 1 employee inquiries, executing employment verifications, and coordinating case escalations across HR shared services.

• Serve as the primary contact for associate and manager payroll inquiries submitted via HR portals, email, and phone.
• Resolve Tier 1 questions regarding gross-to-net calculations, tax with holdings, deductions, and direct deposits.
• Process employment and income verification requests in compliance with confidentiality and company guidelines.
• Review, categorize, and route complex payroll tax, timekeeping, and garnishment inquiries to specialist teams.
• Maintain and update payroll knowledge base articles, standard operating procedures, and FAQ documentation.

• Associate degree in Business, Human Resources, Accounting, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 1-3 years of customer service, payroll administration, or HR shared services experience.
• Familiarity with HR ticketing/case management systems, timekeeping platforms, and enterprise payroll software.
• High attention to detail with proven ability to handle sensitive employee data confidentially.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with a customer-centric mindset.
