The hourly rate for this position at Scotts/Hawthorne will generally fall between $21.00 - $25.00 per hour and is paid weekly. Scotts/Hawthorne will consider various factors in determining the actual pay, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and geographical location.

• Perform a safety check of the equipment to ensure it is safe to operate.
• Perform daily assignments as directed by team Group Leader or Supervisor.
• Maintain good housekeeping standards in your assigned area.
• Safely operate a forklift to transport materials.
• Ensure stocks of needed materials are ready and available at all times.
• Learn multiple pieces of automated equipment and be flexible to move to different work stations daily.
• Communicate effectively with peers and supervisors regarding the performance of the production line.
• Perform manufacturing inspection protocols to ensure quality standards on granular packaging products and display units.
• Adhere to plant safety rules and programs.

• Prolonged and repetitive motion of standing, twisting, stooping, kneeling, squatting, bending, climbing, reaching overhead, and arms/hands dexterity.
• Ability to drive a forklift.
• Ability to climb on and off equipment and multiple flights of stairs.
• Effective communication skills.
• Ability to read and write English and follow instructions.
• Must pass the minimum fit-for-duty physical annually.
• Willingness to work mandatory overtime, including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to work in dusty, hot, cold, and humid environments.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and stand for 8-12 hours a day.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of production plant experience preferred.
• Basic math skills, mechanical aptitude, decision-making skills regarding equipment adjustments.
• Team player and promote teamwork across departments and shifts.
