The hourly rate for this position at Scotts/Hawthorne will generally fall between $21.00 and $21.00 per hour and is paid weekly. Scotts/Hawthorne will consider various factors in determining the actual pay including your skills, qualifications, experience, and geographical location.

• Perform a safety check of the equipment to ensure it is safe to operate.
• Perform daily assignments as directed by Team Group Leader or Supervisor.
• Actively maintain good housekeeping standards in the assigned area.
• Safely operate a forklift to transport materials.
• Ensure stocks of needed materials are ready and available at all times.
• Learn multiple pieces of automated equipment and be flexible to move to different work stations daily.
• Effectively communicate and relay information to peers and/or supervisors concerning the performance of the production line as it pertains to the assembly, operation, and performance of the line.
• Perform various manufacturing inspection protocols to ensure plant quality standards on granular packaging products and display units.
• Adhere to plant safety rules and programs as it pertains to self and all other associates.

• Position entails prolonged and repetitive motion: standing, twisting, stooping, kneeling, squatting, bending, climbing, reaching overhead, and arms/hands dexterity.
• Ability to drive a forklift.
• Ability to climb on and off required equipment.
• Ability to climb multiple flights of stairs and meet man-lift requirements.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Ability to read and write English and/or follow instructions.
• Must pass the minimum fit-for-duty physical (annually).
• Willingness to work mandatory overtime, including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to work in a dusty, hot/cold/humid environment.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds, and be on feet for 8–12 hours a day.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• A minimum of one plus year of production plant experience is preferred.
• Basic math skills, mechanical aptitude, and ability to make decisions regarding equipment adjustments to meet product specifications and quality conformity.
• Must be a team player and promote teamwork among production lines, departments, and shifts.
