Regional Sales Director – Eastern US and Canada

This executive role leads sales and business development across the Eastern United States and Canada, combining strategic leadership, direct customer engagement, and market development to accelerate adoption of Echandia’s advanced electrification and battery systems.

The ideal candidate will have deep industry expertise, a proven sales track record, and the ability to position Echandia as a trusted partner for sustainable maritime solutions. The role requires residence in the Eastern half of the United States to ensure proximity to key customers and markets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sales Leadership and Strategy:
    Develop and execute the sales strategy for the U.S. market, identify, prioritize, and pursue business opportunities with shipowners, naval architects, shipyards, and other maritime customers; lead negotiations and close high-value contracts; set and achieve annual sales targets.
  • Customer Engagement and Development:
    Establish and strengthen partnerships with key stakeholders; act as a trusted advisor; represent Echandia at high-level meetings, events, and trade shows; align solutions with safety, compliance, and certification requirements; gather and address customer feedback.
  • Market Insights and Growth:
    Monitor market trends, regulatory developments, and competition; identify emerging opportunities in maritime electrification; provide strategic recommendations to leadership.
  • Team Collaboration and Leadership:
    Work with global sales, engineering, and product teams; collaborate with marketing; mentor and develop sales staff.
  • Reporting and Accountability:
    Maintain CRM records; prepare reports for leadership; ensure compliance with policies and customer requirements.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Marine Technology, or related field; MBA or equivalents preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive sales experience, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership role within maritime, defense, or energy sectors.
  • Residence in the Eastern United States is required.
  • Existing network with U.S. shipowners, shipyards, or naval architects strongly preferred.
  • Proven track record of securing and managing high-value contracts with shipowners, naval architects, and maritime customers.
  • Deep understanding of the maritime industry, including sustainability, electrification, and regulatory changes.
  • Experience with shipyards and design firms is desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, Hub Spot) and sales analytics tools.

Location: Remote; based in the Eastern half of the United States (East Coast or Central time zones preferred) with frequent travel.

Salary range: $110,000 - $135,000
