Responsible for monitoring and ensuring a safe and friendly environment for all of the aquatic facility members and guests.
** Full-time:
** 40 hours/week
*
* Schedule:

** Flexible, within the following hours of operation: M-F 5am-6pm, Sat 10am-3pm
** Your Impact:
*** Monitor and ensure safety and well-being of patrons using the aquatic facilities.
* Enforce and explain rules as necessary.
* Respond appropriately to any emergency.
* Perform chemical testing and documents results for three bodies of water and a hot tub four times a day.
* Attend all required staff meetings and training.
* Ensure that needs of the aquatic center are being met by folding towels; cleaning; filling water machines; and inspecting the Aquatics Facility to ensure safe environment for members.
* Maintain a professional attitude.
* Other duties as needed/assigned.
*
* Minimum Requirements:

*** Must be at least 18 years old.
* Current American Red Cross Lifeguarding with CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers and First Aid certification.
* Meet Health Fitness Fitness and Skill standards.
* Be dependable, alert and able to interact with people of all ages in a positive manner with strong customer service skills.
* Computer proficiency in MS Office including Word, Excel and Outlook; and working knowledge of the member management system, databases, and tools.
* Applicants must meet hiring requirements including but not limited to pre-employment drug test.
All lifeguards are required to perform a basic lifeguard skill test consisting of:
* 500 yard swim.
* Active, Passive, Submerged rescues.
* Spinal injury management in shallow and deep water.
* Other various techniques that were learned during the Lifeguard Training Program.

Compensation: $15/hr - $17/hr pay is dependent on experience and qualifications.
