Tr​/Licensed Massage Therapist - Independent Contractor

SCOPE OF WORK:

Deliver various professional massage therapies i.e.: pregnancy, sport, deep tissue, wraps, hydrotherapy, reflexology, massage services to guests in accordance with the TSpa massage therapy menu offerings and protocols. Promotes and educates guests on all spa products.

Independent Contractor will lease a portion of the T-Spa’s facilities to provide services set forth for a fee. Under these terms, the Contractor will retain 40% of the Client Service Charge. (Further details of the contract can be provided)

• High School Diploma or GED required. (Please attach copy with application)
• Graduate from an accredited massage therapy school. (Please attach copy with application)
• Current licensed Massage Therapist/Practitioner in the state of Washington or with the NCETMB, National Certification a plus. (Please attach copy with application)

• Previous work experience performing deep tissue and relaxation massage therapy preferred.
• Previous work experience performing injury and/or sports treatment massages preferred.
• Previous Cranio-Sacral massage therapy experience preferred.
• Previous experience working in a Spa preferred.
• Prior experience performing hydro, wraps, and pregnancy massages preferred.

• Must be highly motivated, outgoing, energetic, and possess a positive and friendly attitude.
• Must be familiar with full body, foot, and chair massage techniques.
• Must have strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be skilled in use of hands and applying pressure.
• Must be professional in demeanor and appearance.
• Must be dependable, punctual, team player, and able to multitask.
• Must have the physical strength and stamina to perform numerous massages per day.
• Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Successful applicants will be required to perform a practical audition.

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must have and maintain independent professional liability insurance.
• Must maintain current massage therapist licensing with the state of Washington and/or NCETMB throughout employment.
• Must be able to successfully pass a background investigation to obtain a Tribal Gaming License or Permit.
• Successful employment history with Tulalip Tribes and/or other employers.
