Join our team as a Shortage Control Associate and contribute to a secure shopping environment while delivering exceptional customer service.

• Directly impact store security and shopping experience through command presence, knowledge of theft trends, and positive customer interaction.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and high‑risk areas for the entire shift to reduce opportunities for theft, shoplifting, and dishonest activities.
• Provide confident, friendly greetings with eye contact and a smile for every interaction.
• Identify and report theft incidents and suspicious subjects to the Manager on Duty.
• Maintain professional appearance and wear designated dress standards, radio, and earpiece.
• Stand positioned at the front of the store, remaining vigilant and aware of surroundings.
• Conduct bag and package checks on associates to ensure safety and security standards.
• Support training of associates on shortage reduction programs and processes.
• Role‑model safety as a top priority and address unsafe practices promptly.

• 1+ year of experience in customer service, hospitality, retail, asset protection, loss prevention, or operations.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and visually monitor the store environment.
• Confidentiality and strong discretion required.
• Analytical ability to review, analyze and comprehend business trends.
• Positive demeanor, strong posture, and energetic greeting.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure environment with disciplined decision making.
• Excellent communication with customers and co‑workers.
• Strong leadership skills that support productive business relationships.
