JOB SUMMARY
Ensures property and assets of the TGO are safeguarded. Provides a safe and friendly environment for guests and team members. Monitors the gaming floor and ensures adequate staffing at all times. Utilizes a L.T.R. radio base to transmit details of unusual activities/occurrences, incidents, and/or safety hazards. Follows the Security Department’s Internal Controls, Standard Operational Procedures (S.O.P.), and TGO Policies and procedures.
EDUCATION- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- One (1) year TGO Security Lead Officer experience and completion of TGO Security Training program or Two (2) years Security Officer experience and completion of TGO Security Training program may be considered in lieu of experience requirements.
- Above average skills in writing concise and accurate reports and business correspondence. (Test required)
- Must have strong math and analytical skills. (Test required)
- Ability to type 25 wpm with accuracy. (Test required)
- Minimum of three (3) years prior experience working in a security field, i.e., corrections officer, security guard, and/or related military experience, i.e., military police, infantry, etc.
- Minimum of three (3) years experience working in a gaming environment.
- Minimum of three (3) years prior experience working with the public utilizing guest service skills.
- Minimum of two (2) years prior supervisory and/or dual rate supervisory experience.
- Minimum of two (2) years work experience utilizing a computer and Microsoft programs, i.e., Word, Excel, and Access.
- Minimum of one (1) year of driving experience.
- This position is considered “safety sensitive” and will be required to undergo periodic drug/alcohol testing.
- Must possess and maintain a valid State Driver’s License.
Out of state applicants hired will be required to obtain a Washington State Driver's License within 30-days from hire date. - Must possess a clear driving record and meet the organizations insurance criteria.
- Must be able to successfully pass a background investigation for a Tribal Gaming License or Permit.
- Must be available to work any shift assigned to include days, swing, grave, weekends, and/or holidays.
- Must have a successful employment history with The Tulalip Tribes and/or other employment entities.
