Diesel Mechanic
Join Ryder Supply Chain Solutions as a Permanent Full Time Experienced Mid-Level Diesel Technician. This role supports our truck fleet in Marysville, Washington on the first shift (7:30 am–4:00 pm). Monday–Friday, weekends off. Hourly Pay: $31.00. Certification Bonus up to $700. Quarterly Bonus up to $500.

- Hours:
8‑hour shift, weekends off - Pay: $31.00 per hour
- Certification bonus: $100 for each new ASE certification up to $700
- Quarterly bonus: up to $500 per quarter

Requirements- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Vocational or Technical Certification Post Secondary degree or Technical Certifications, preferred
- Basic tools, required
- Demonstrated aptitude and applied experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines, including routine preventive maintenance (oil changes, brake and tire work)
- Two (2) years or more of a combination of classroom training and work experience in required experience, preferred
- Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A, preferred
- This position requires you to drive Ryder vehicles. Must obtain CDL within 6 months after hire.
- Pass a Ryder drug test, DOT physical, Ryder road test, and background check (drug/alcohol verification from previous employers for the last three years).
- Perform vehicle maintenance, repair, and standard component inspections.
- Conduct preventive maintenance and diagnose basic mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic computers.
- Identify root causes of failures and perform required repairs, including replacement of defective components.
- Maintain facility and shop equipment, following safety and compliance guidelines.
- Interact with drivers and customers to determine the nature of complaints.
- Utilize the Shop Management System and electronic documentation.
- Perform other support duties as required, including Service Island support.
