The Corporate Accounting Manager is responsible for executing the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process for ESCO Corporate and its subsidiaries. The role ensures accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting through ownership of journal entries, account reconciliations, consolidation activities, lease accounting, external reporting support and financial system controls. The position serves as a key liaison between corporate, subsidiaries and external auditors, while maintaining strong internal controls, documentation, and audit‑ready support.

Month‑End Close and Corporate Accounting
- Own the monthly close calendar, checklists, and schedules to ensure timely completion.
- Prepare and post journal entries related to corporate books while maintaining supporting documentation for all journal entries in accordance with audit standards.
- Ensure accurate and timely recording of all financial transactions within Sage 50 and One Stream.
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and maintain audit‑ready supporting documentation
- Track and monitor subsidiary long‑term debt/cash activity and confirmations. Prepare subsidiary LTD packets summarizing cash, intercompany, and debt activity.
Consolidation & One Stream Reporting
- Load Corporate books trial balances and supplemental data into One Stream.
- Review subsidiary financial statement submissions for accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
- Investigate and resolve consolidation and reporting discrepancies timely.
Lease Accounting & Disclosures
- Manage operating and finance lease accounting in Lease Query, including monthly entries and confirmations.
- Prepare quarterly ASC 842, lease disclosures and maintain lease documentation.
External Reporting 10‑Q and 10‑K Support
- Support preparation of Form 10‑Q and 10‑K filings in coordination with the Corporate Controller.
- Serve as the primary liaison with subsidiaries for financial data, disclosures, and One Stream submissions.
- Perform flux analysis, reasonableness checks, and data validation; resolve issues proactively.
- Maintain audit‑ready schedules and documentation supporting SEC reporting and controls.
Other
- Identify opportunities to streamline the close process, improve data accuracy, and enhance system usage.
- Review and set up new vendors in Sage 50 in accordance with company policies.
- Serve as a key contact for internal and external auditors.
- Maintain organized and compliant financial records, including financial statements, closing books, reconciliations, journal entries, and checklists.
· Support ad hoc accounting, reporting, technical research, and special projects as needed.
QualificationsEducation & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required; CPA or CPA‑eligible preferred.
- 6+ years of progressive accounting experience, including close and financial reporting.
Technical & Professional Skills
- Strong U.S. GAAP and internal control knowledge.
- Experience with general ledger systems and financial consolidation tools.
- Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical capabilities.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines with an audit‑ready, compliance‑focused mindset.
- Strong communication and cross‑functional collaboration skills.
- Proactive problem‑solver with a continuous improvement mindset.
Compensation Information
Base Salary Range: $115,000 – $125,000 USD (Annually)
