Practice Manager, BMPG Cardiology, Blount, Full‑Time, Days

Prisma Health invites applicants for the Practice Manager position in BMPG Cardiology at Blount.

Responsible for daily operations of the physician practice, including provision of quality patient services, promotion of teamwork among staff, maintenance of building and equipment, compliance with policies and procedures, and operating within the approved budget. Increased scope and span of control over practice operations.

• All team members are expected to be knowledgeable and compliant with Prisma Health's purpose.
• Coordinate and direct daily operations, develop, implement, and maintain department policies and procedures.
• Identify problems and needs through daily rounds and recommend operational changes.
• Manage human resources: hiring, orientation, training, discipline, dismissal.
• Monitor staffing levels in relation to workload.
• Assist staff in developing goals and objectives for individual professional growth.
• Ensure problems, complaints, and regulatory violations are investigated and resolved within requested timeframe.
• Maintain medical records that are legible, accurate, accessible, and confidential.
• Establish and maintain measures to ensure the safety and security of employees, facilities, and equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Job has direct and/or indirect supervision of employees, including final budget authority, hire/termination/disciplinary authority, performance appraisal responsibility. Job considered a member of the management staff with direct reports.

• Education – High School Diploma or Equivalent;
  Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field preferred.
• Experience – Five (5) years clerical experience in a healthcare setting;
  Two (2) years as lead/coordinator in billing, admissions, scheduling, and/or medical records;
  One (1) year at a management level preferred.

• In lieu of education and experience above, a Bachelor’s degree and five (5) years of Prisma Health experience in personnel mgmt., finance, or operations may be considered.
• In lieu of education and experience above, a Bachelor’s degree and three (3) years in physician practice management, personnel mgt, finance, or operations may be considered.
• In lieu of education and experience above, a Master’s degree and three (3) years of a combination of Prisma Health and UMG physician practice management, personnel mgt, finance, or operations may be considered.
• In lieu of education and experience above, a High School diploma/ equivalent and ten (10) years of experience in physician practice management, personnel mgt, finance, or operations, including three (3) years of healthcare management experience may be considered.
