Plate Roll​/Press Brake Operator & Programmer

Aethon Metal Fabrication in Maryville, TN is hiring an experienced Plate Roll / Press Brake Operator & Programmer. You’ll own forming from start to finish: programming bend and roll sequences, selecting tooling, making first-article parts and holding tolerances through the production run.

Schedule:

Monday-Thursday, 6:00 a.m.

-4:30 p.m. (four 10-hour days, a 3-day weekend every week). Overtime as needed.

What you’ll do:

• Read blueprints, shop drawings and weld symbols to determine bend and roll requirements
• Write, edit and optimize CNC press brake programs, including bend sequence, back gauge positions, tonnage and tooling
• Program and set up plate roll operations for cylinders, cones and radiused parts
• Calculate bend allowances, bend deductions, flat-pattern lengths and spring back
• Set up and run CNC press brakes and plate rolls to form carbon steel, stainless steel and aluminum to print
• Produce first-article parts and inspect throughout the run using tape measures, protractors, angle finders, radius gauges and calipers
• Safely handle heavy plate using overhead cranes, hoists and forklifts
• Perform daily checks and basic preventive maintenance on equipment and tooling
• Work with engineering and the shop supervisor to resolve forming issues
• Train and assist less-experienced operators
