Description:
The role requires experience in a progressive care or step-down unit.
Candidates must possess ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications.
Previous charge experience is preferred.
Experience with Epic charting system is required.
Travel experience is necessary for this position.
The nurse will care for a patient ratio of 3:1.Candidates should have proficiency in administering chemotherapy and managing ports.
Experience with critical care procedures such as arterial line management and care of ventilated patients is vital.
Knowledge of telemetry and managing vasoactive drips is essential.
The position involves various nursing skills, including phlebotomy and wound care.
The nurse will participate in interdisciplinary support with respiratory therapy, social services, and pharmacy.
Flexibility to float to different units as required is expected.
Compliance with health protocols and patient safety is mandatory.
The daily census in the unit is approximately 15 patients.
