Job Opportunity – Emergency Department Registered Nurse – Tennessee

Schedule: 3x12-hour night shifts (18:45 - 07:15); every other weekend coverage (subject to change based on unit needs); 36-hour orientation period

Highlights:

• High-volume Emergency Department with 130 patients per day, 27 rooms, and 44 beds
• Full-service mixed adult and pediatric ED caring for all age groups from neonates to geriatrics
• EPIC electronic medical record system with Omnicell medication management
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, radiology, rapid response teams, and pharmacy
• Exposure to diverse case mix including trauma, cardiac, stroke, behavioral health, and critical care emergencies
• 4:1 patient ratio experience preferred

Requirements:

• Active Tennessee Registered Nurse license
• Minimum 1-2 years of recent Emergency Department experience required
• Minimum 1 year of EPIC EMR experience required
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, CPI, and PALS
• TNCC certification preferred
• Proficiency in essential emergency nursing skills including triage, IV management, dysrhythmia interpretation, trauma care, and procedural sedation
• First-time travelers will be considered based on demonstrated skills and experience
• Flexibility to float to other qualified units as needed based on census
• Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)
• Completion of pre-assignment modules within 48 hours of contract signing (reimbursable up to 16 hours)
