American Traveler is hiring a Stepdown/Telemetry RN for a night shift contract requiring EPIC experience and prior travel assignment history.
Requirements- Active RN license (TN or Compact) required
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required, with at least 1 year recent experience in a similar unit
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Minimum 1 year of EPIC EMR experience required
- Telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation/management skills required
- Experience with cardiac drip management, IV therapy, and central/peripheral line care
- Step-down unit within a hospital setting
- Cardiac and medical telemetry patient population on a progressive care/stepdown unit
- Patient ratio of 1:5
- Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts (6:45pm-7:15am)
- Weekend rotation required every other week
- Floating to other units/campuses required based on census needs, limited to qualified and competency-verified areas
- Provide telemetry and stepdown level nursing care to cardiac and medical patients
- Monitor and manage cardiac drips and respond to dysrhythmias
- Orientation held weekly on Mondays with annual compliance training required
- Pre-assignment testing and modules must be completed within 48 hours of receiving login credentials
- First-time travelers will not be considered for this role
