American Traveler is seeking a Med/Surg Tele RN for a night shift position requiring at least 1 year of EPIC EMR experience and a TN or compact RN license.

• Med/Surg Tele unit caring for step-down patients transitioning from ICU (no vents or pressor support)
• Patient population includes higher oxygen demand patients, dialysis patients, afib, and post heart cath cases
• Manages drips including heparin, cardizem, amiodarone, and sotolol initiation, plus continuous telemetry monitoring
• Patient ratio of 1:6
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Weekend coverage required every other weekend, subject to change based on need
• Floating to similar units may be required based on census needs

• Active TN or compact RN license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in a similar unit required
• Minimum 1 year of EPIC EMR experience required
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Skilled in respiratory care including BiPAP/CPAP management and oxygen administration
• Experience with IV therapy, central and peripheral line care, and blood product administration required
• Experience interpreting and managing dysrhythmias and cardiac monitoring required
• Experience with cardiac drip management (titration preferred)
• Experience with pre/post cardiac catheterization and TR Band care preferred

• Provide step-down level care to cardiac and telemetry patients with close monitoring of oxygen and cardiac status
• First-time travelers will be considered based on relevant experience
• Weekly orientation held every Monday along with annual compliance training
• Pre-assignment testing and compliance modules must be completed within 48 hours of receiving login credentials
• Floating to other qualified units may be required to address facility census needs
• Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from any Prisma Health facility to be eligible for full travel rate; reduced rate applies between 90-99.9 miles
• Night shift candidates in this specialty must live at least 50 miles from the contracted campus, with full rate at 100+ miles and reduced rate between 50-99.9 miles
